The Coach Licence Renewal Process (webpage / TBC file download)
The coach licence renewal process consists of the following steps:
- AGB informs you that your coach licence is about to expire;
- You complete the relevant coach licence renewal form and send the completed form to the County Coaching Organiser (CCO);
- Your renewal application is reviewed by the County Coach Licence Renewal Panel and the results of this renewal are sent to AGB;
- AGB considers the recommendation from the County Coach Licence Renewal Panel in conjunction with a DBS and safeguarding check. Once this has been done, AGB then make the decision on renewing your coach licence; and
- You are informed of AGB's decison on renewing your coach licence.
Whilst many coaches are aware of this process, some are not. Also, many coaches find completing the renewal paperwork difficult. To try and address these matters, the Coach Licence Renewal Process webpages have been created. In these pages, you will find information on:
- How to check if you have a valid DBS and safeguarding certificate;
- How to download and complete the relevant AGB coach renewal application forms;
- What to do if you may be short of CPD points;
- What the Coach Licence Renewal Pael do and the renewal recommendation options available to the panel; and
- How AGB ratify the renewal recommendatopn made by the Renewal Panel.
Alternatively, you can view all this information in a downloadable file.
